When There Is No Doctor: Nature's Remedies 2-Day Workshop 2023
Aug 07, 2023
Our 2-day hands-on workshop was held at The Cottage, in Utah County, Utah.
This two-day workshop highlighted plant identification and various first-aid uses of over 20 herbs, multiple natural therapies and remedies, and even a special suture technique that doesn't pierce the skin.
Many urgent and emergency herbs can be found close by in nature, and often in our own backyards.
We explored various benefits of the mint family and harvested several varieties for fresh infusions.
Participants tasted and cut, sliced and crushed, herbs for their own immune boosting cider.
We sampled a variety of herbal remedies,
and harvested our own first-aid herbs, including roots, barks, leaves, and flowers.
We made travel size herbal first-aid packets,
and learned about alternative healing methods for injury and illnesses.
We went on herbal scavenger hunts in the yard,
and in the pastures.
Then we tucked our harvested and homemade remedies in goodie bags, and marveled at the abundant herbal aids nature provides.
Here's what some of our attendees are saying about the When There Is No Doctor Workshop:
